There are many utility customers in West Virginia who can't afford to pay their basic utility bills without the help of payment assistance programs. Many of the utility companies offer payment plans to their customers who qualify. They may allow deferred payments for those who cannot pay their whole bill or delay disconnection for customers trying to pay their bills. Contact your local utility company for this type of assistance.
Many civic groups, charitable organizations, and churches in local
communities provide payment assistance to low income customers. Here is a list of organizations, that offer assistance in West Virginia, listed alphabetically by county. There are also some programs that offer statewide assistance.
If you know of any charitable organization that would like to be included in the CAD's list of bill payment assistance providers, or if your organization was erroneously added to the list and would like to be removed, please contact the CAD website content administrator.
